Template 2.0 - Snippets & Text Only Version & From Address

I've modified the code that is automatically included when you make a 2.0 template.  Everything is working great, but I'm stuck in three areas:

  1. I can't figure out how to set the default snippet.  It says in the template syntax help that you should be able to use the "snippet ID" to set a default snippet.  However, I don't know where to find the Snippet ID?  Is it in the URL of the snippet?  If so, is the hashtag part of the ID?  I've tried with and without the hashtag and trying to use the Snippet name.  Each time, the snippet field works correctly, but doesn't automatically select a default snippet when a new email is created from that template?
    1. Example code I'm trying to use: <div class="mktoSnippet" id="topNavBar" mktoName="Top Nav Bar" default="SN17B2ZN18"> </div>
  2. Is there a way to also create a "Text Only" version template of the HTML email?  While the HTML email looks great, the "Text only" version looks horrible, and I'd love to know if there is a way to build the template so that you specify some of the formatting for the Text Only version?
  3. When creating a new email, Marketo always puts the user's email in the from field by default.  However, we typically send most emails from a company specific email address.  Is there a way for me to add something to the template so that the from email is automatically not the user's email, but the company specific email instead?

Thanks for any help!

Hy Ryan

1/ Stop trying, it does not work I have already raised this to PM a few weeks ago. See Re: Email editor 2.0: How is mktoSnippet default supposed to work?

2/ No, you cannot create a text only template. Vote here:

3/ Never tried it, but I do not think there is a possibility to do this. Nice idea, though. See
