"Blogging Rights" mission and allowed Places

I long ago completed "Blogging Rights" (https://nation.marketo.com/reputation.jspa?username=63ea064b55e61d1184c4e1e1cc5ee59b25d3a3a1&viewID=... but I can only publish posts to Marketing Central or my local NYC MUG, not Products.

Of course one might think being able to publish to MC is great, but since all of my posts are technical they really belong in Products. What's the official stance?

Also, if people without badges can publish Documents in any Place, that pretty much subverts the idea of Blogs being special.

Re: "Blogging Rights" mission and allowed Places

Hi Sanford,

Thanks for your post. Documents are treated very differently than blogs. Since most people can create documents in Marketing Central they are welcome to share their marketing thought leadership but it is not as official as our blogs. While Marketo can't officially endorse customers who blog in Community because the guidelines and moderation aren't as strict our corporate blog on marketo.com, we still monitor who has access to blog which makes it exclusive to those that are Marketo experts.

To be clear do you have the access you should?

I don't think so, since I can publish to Marketing Central or my NYC MUG but not to Products.  I feel that Products is the most appropriate home for my blog content, as you can tell from my posting history.

We do not have a products specific blog. You can see our Marketo Blogs here in community. We give access to contribute to the Marketing Centralblog to those that participate and show expertise in general. This is a blog for any useful content, and it is linked from the homepage from "What's New" so gets good visibility.

OK, it'll have to go there I guess. Thing is, it's not "best practice" to ask technical questions in MC (we tell people to move to Products) and the comments on a technical blog post feel similarly out-of-place.

is there another blog on that list you think would be better?
