Helping each other out - without having to follow/connect

Hi folks-

How do you alert other companies that something of their Marketo usage is broken or bad?  Reason I ask is that I don't want to use their website Contact Us (because I really don't have an interest in them from a sales perspective and I don't want to be bombarded by their sales teams) but there is not a great way in this Community to communicate with each other unless you are connected to someone from said company and in some cases, Marketo might want to know about these issues too (i.e. bad unsubscribe page for example).

What are some ways we could do this?

Very interesting point. I'm sure users would appreciate being alerted of something not working that they may not be aware of. A possible workaround is to mention the user like this: Brigid Greenway in any comment.

Hi Brigid Greenway

There are a few different ways to go here. First, if you have any trouble with Marketo and need some feedback the Community is a great resource for posting questions and getting feedback from other Marketo users. If it's a product-related issue, the best place to post it would be in the Products space. If it's a best practice related issue, those are best to post in the Marketing Central discussions.

You mentioned that you may be posting about something being broken. If there's any functionality in place that isn't working as it should, please Contact Marketo Support so that we can get it fixed for you. We always want to fix things that are broken, and this will get you in touch with the Tech Support team that can actually get it fixed.

Also, you mentioned things that are just generally bad, which I assume means that there could be a feature or function that is working, but maybe just needs to be enhanced, made better or redesigned in some way. Marketo always loves hearing this feedback from our customers--lots of our enhancements and new features come from the recommendations we get from our customers! The Ideas section in the Community here is where these new ideas can be posted.

All of these spaces can be found from the drop down menus along the top toolbar (Marketing Central, Products & Support, etc.), so take a look around, and if there's anything you can't find, go ahead and post a discussion and I'm sure you'll get some input!

Re: Helping each other out - without having to follow/connect

Good insight Mike, however Brigid was referring how to reach out to other users that she has noticed have something broken with their instance. For example if she noticed another company's website Marketo form had a misspelling or another company's Marketo email didn't include the unsubscribe link. She was saying that there is no easy way to get in contact with them to let them know and help them out.

I thought we were just supposed to use a blog of shame.

In all honesty there are too many things broken (minor typos aside) for this to be doable IMO. From broken SPF to broken HTTPS to broken form validation to whatever... when would we stop?

Maybe the ability to just message users without having to follow them and also be followed by them:
