Re: Best Practices for List Cleansing/Scrubbing

Hi Andy,

Yes, you are correct. I update the flow of the correcting campaign. I also add a "campaign is requested" trigger to it. Finally, I also create a batch smart campaign with the following settings:

  • Name: reprocess invalid countries
  • Smart lists:
    • member of smart list : not in "Valid Countries"
  • Flow
    • Request campaign: the trigger one
  • Qualification rules
    • qualifies every time

The trigger one also needs to have an "every time" qualification rule.

So, each time I detect a new invalid value, I correct the flow of the triggered campaign and run the batch.

Got it, so you are checking it, just not in the same place as I am.

And that would be operationally less taxing than creating a trigger campaign for every country with a filter for the invalid values?

Re: Best Practices for List Cleansing/Scrubbing

Hi Andy,

There many ways to skin a cat, but the method I propose has a single point of check (the report) and a single point of maintenance (the flow of the triggered campaign). Less risk of errors.

Makes sense, just wanted to make sure I wasn't going to shoot myself in the foot! Appreciate the chat as always, Greg.
