I can answer the 2nd part of the question as I'm not sure what "field id" you are referring to. Is this something in your CRM you are trying to pull or are you referencing the api name upon custom field creation?
In regards to setting up the field types. I recommend using "Txt Area". It allows for the most characters as outlined below:
- From a form post: 32000
- From API or GUI: 65535

Thank you for your reply. In haste, I think my question wasn't very clear. After some more digging, I believe I have resolved most of it. In regard to the "Field ID", I have discovered the "Export Field Names" function. And for our "Questions or Comments" Drupal field, I have created a Marketo Custom Field (Text) "Questions or Comments".
Where I'm still struggling is the "Reason for Contact". In our Drupal form, this is a dropdown where users can select 1 of 5 options. In my Basic Training notes, I have written: "Pick List: Change the field type to 'Select', then go to 'Values' - Edit"
When I go to set the field type in marketo, I do not see "Select" as an option. I reviewed the Field Types Glossary, but still unclear on which field type to use for dropdowns/picklists.

Your field is the right kind - you'll be able to select options on the form creator box.
In this case, because you're using a Drupal form, the drop-down will be on the Drupal side and it will send that state to Marketo.
