Is anyone using Primary Campaign Source from SFDC to identify opportunities?

For several of our campaigns, we want to use the Primary Campaign Source link to identify specific opportunities for triggering campaigns.  We are unfortunately unable to see this data in our Marketo opportunity filters?  I don't know if this issue is related to our SFDC setup or if Marketo can't see this data?  What have you seen?

We had this same issue before. This field cannot be synced with Marketo (for some reason).

Instead you can create a formula field and reference the primary campaign source field on the formula (make sure you grant the Marketo sync profile access to this new field).

This custom field can then be used as a constraint in the filter "has opportunity" and other Opportunity filters.

Hi Chris and Chris,

This is the way to go, but remember that, for all existing opportunities, this field will remain empty in Marketo until the opportunities are updated in SFDC, because the creation of a formula field does not update the records and therefore does not trigger a sync.

So you may want to run a forced update on all the oppies in SFDC to make sure that the values of your newly created formula field are propagated to Marketo.
