JOB DESCRIPTION: The Marketing Communications Specialist is focused on lead generation through a variety of marketing and communications initiatives (marketing automation and inbound/email/content marketing - MARKETO!).  Additionally, the Marketing Communications Specialist will be responsible for the company website (including global sites), advertising/promotions, managing external vendors, managing the day-to-day invoices/budget, and drive special marketing projects that grow the Gems brand.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

--Facilitate communications between the Gems team (i.e., product managers, sales managers) and outside creative services to cultivate and maintain product positioning in support of collateral development.

--Support all lead generation activities of the sales and marketing organizations.

--Develop and maintain relationships with 3rd party partners to support initiatives.

--Manage invoice process to ensure ongoing support.

--Responsible for on-going updates to the Company’s global websites including general administration and content management.

--Oversee the Company’s adherence to Corporate graphic standards.

--Create and maintain advertising and marketing content, newsletters, brochures, press releases, photography, reports, literature, slide presentations, etc.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

--3-5 years of experience responsible for executing marketing communications strategies.

--Excellent verbal and especially written communication skills; must have strong command of the English language and the ability to edit own work for grammar, spelling and style before hand-off to for review.

--Demonstrated talent for conceptualizing creatively and quickly; understanding the needs of a channel audience versus prospect/end-user audiences

--Experience managing external creative and analytic resources, as well as internal stakeholders including product and sales management.

--Ability to work independently as well as with the larger team to meet aggressive deadlines in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.

--Strong project management skills.

--Requires a working knowledge of all MS Office applications.

--Experience using marketing automation tools (Marketo).

--Experience using sales contact management tools (e.g., Salesforce.com).

--Willing to travel domestically and internationally up to 10%.
