Ability not to ADD lead scores on merge

I am getting lot of false Marketing Qualified leads because Marketo is adding together the lead scores of two records. In most cases this is just demographic scoring that is being added and pushing them over my lead scoring threshold into Marketing Qualified. It would be nice if there was an option NOT to add the two lead scores together.

Pierce - I'd recommend setting up two score fields one for demographics that shows quality of fit, and one that is based upon activity.

Then if you do merge - can can choose to pull over info only if one is empty or ignore.

We have a lifetime score (lead score) then we actually have a demo score then individual BU scores so we can track at a more granular level, then when they are passed as MQL we zero out BU score. If Demo was added into the same value it would be a one time bump and lost, so tracking separately is beneficial.

Hey Clinton,

Currently I have 3 different scoring fields:

1. Behavioral Score
2. Demographic Score
3. Lead Score

I have Behavioral and Demographic being added together to give me my lead score, which is what is triggering my lead lifecycle.

If you keep demographic completely separate, how does that influence your lead score and lifecycle?
