Allow the use of Tokens in "Send Alert" flow steps

We leverage real-time alerts a lot.  One of th use-cases is when a known lead converts with one of our campaign activities.  We send an alert to the campaign manager.  Since we have multiple campaign activities within a parent campaign; and have 23 country workspaces, we're always looking for ways to scale our capabiltiies.  Tokens offer a great way to do this.  But in this case, you cannot use tokens in Send Alert flow steps (they can only be used in "change data value", "interesting moments" and "create task" flow steps.  It would be a huge time-saver to allow the use of tokens here.

Hmm. We are using tokens in that way. What happens when you try to use tokens there in your instance?

Nothing happens (the alerts do not get sent out).

Are you 100% sure there are good values in the field (use them somewhere else to test)? Have you tried sending a test campaign with no rules (maybe there's something funky there)?

My campaign looks like this:

And is sending emails with no problem.

One other thought: have you tried it using a regular token instead of a myToken?

I think that's the difference here.  You can use regular tokens but not local tokens (and we're using local tokens - at least we planned to - extensively (in emails, change data values, etc.).  We have different campaign managers' email addresses defined for every campaign.

I see. Well in that case, great idea. 🙂

Crazy thought - can you use a change data value flowstep to populate a global token (create a new custom field for this) with the MyToken's value and then use that global token for the send alerts? It's a work around that could possibly get messy, but it also might work in the meantime.
