The Differences Between Trigger and Batch Campaigns

Trigger campaigns:

  • Wait to respond to actions that leads will take in the future
  • Are always running in the background unless they are deactivated
  • Process leads one by one
  • Run in a separate processing queue from batch campaigns
  • Are best used for situations where you want to respond immediately to a lead's behavior

Batch campaigns:

  • Run on groups of leads based on current data values or past activity
  • Only run when scheduled
  • Run in a separate processing queue from trigger campaigns
  • Are best used for any campaign that does not require immediate response to a lead's behavior
